We are Approved!!

Our homestudy was completed and we were approved by our adoption agency this week. We are officially done with paperwork until we get our baby. Now we just wait to get matched with a birth mom and save, save, save! Thanks to all of our friends and family for their support.

Adoption Progress Report!

Here is our progress report... we'll try to keep it up to date.

Step 1 -We've prayed together, continually for guidance and wisdom. Look for a social worker to provide a homestudy. Research adoption agencies. Research open and closed adoptions. Call and email friends who have adopted to access insider info:)

*Found a social worker!! Yay~ Clint and I get fingerprints done at the jail, get everything notorized, get certified check for clearance, send to social worker so she can send them to the state. Average wait time for clearance is 6-8 weeks. Get medical release forms for all 5 of us. Clint and I write our life stories. Collect copies of marriage and birth certif. w2's and pet rabies vaccination confirmation letters. Return to social worker. * Social worker interview at our home with all of us. 2.5 hours of praying that everyone will behave:) Send application to adoption agency.

Next Step ~ 1. wait for clearance - Got our clearance in this week!! 9/15 ~ 2. write a birth mother letter and get more copies of all of our personal documents - send all to agency. We Sent our profile to the agency this week 9/20 3. wait for agency to approve us. We were approved by our agency and they approved our profile on 9/25!! 4. Agency show our profile to birthmothers. We were shown on 10/22, 5. Get matched with birthmother - We were matched on 10/23 owe 1/2 @ $8000.00. 6. Wait for baby to be born. He was born an November 2nd 7. Baby's born - drive to bm state. Lodging for 3-4 days for Clint and I @$300. 8. Pay remainder of fees @$13,000.00. 9. Wait 7-10 days for intrastate paperwork to be completed then come home with our new little bundle! We're home!!!!! November 12th
